The Club will be called Alcester Town Netball Club (ATNC) and will be affiliated to England Netball.
2. Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of the Club will be:
To offer coaching and competitive opportunities in netball
To promote the club and netball within the local community
To ensure a duty of care to all members of the Club
To provide opportunities for involvement in netball in a way that is fair to everyone
To ensure that all present and future members receive fair and equal treatment
Members will be enrolled in one of the following categories:
Full Members: Adults
Youth Members: Age 11 years to 18 years
Junior Members: Under age 11 years
Those members that play in league matches must be affiliated to England Netball. All league players must be 14 years and over. All members will be subject to the regulations of the constitution and by joining the Club will be deemed to accept these regulations, rules and codes of conduct that the Club has adopted.
4. Membership fees
Affiliation fees, playing fees, training fees and kit fees will be set annually by the Committee.
All of these must be paid as requested, if a player doesn’t pay they can not play.
The Club will be managed through the Committee consisting of:
Chairperson/Treasurer, Vice Chairperson/Secretary, Social Secretary, Team Captains, Vice Team Captains, Umpires (to be paid £15 per match)
Only these posts will be responsible for:
Adopting new policy, codes of conduct and rules that affect the organisation of the Club.
Be responsible for maintenance and revision of the Club rules.
Be responsible for disciplinary hearings of members who infringe the Club rules.
Be responsible for taking any action of suspension or discipline following such hearings.
All Club monies will be banked in an account approved by the Management Committee and held in the name of the Club. The Treasurer will be responsible for finances of the Club. The financial year will run to 28th February each year. Any cheques drawn against Club funds should be signed by a minimum of two signatories. The Treasurer and at least one other officer will be the Club signatories.
7. Discipline and Appeals
All complaints regarding the behaviour of members should be submitted in writing to the Secretary. The committee will meet to hear complaints within 7 days of a complaint being lodged. The committee has the power to take appropriate disciplinary action including the termination of membership. The outcome of disciplinary hearings should be notified in writing to the person who lodged the complaint and the member against whom the complaint was made within 7 days of the hearing. There will be the right of appeal to the committee following disciplinary action being announced. The committee should consider the appeal within 7 days of the Secretary receiving the appeal.
A resolution to dissolve the Club can only be passed by the committee through a majority vote of the membership. In the event of dissolution, any assets of the Club will be donated to another sporting organisation that shares similar aims.
9. Amendments to the Constitution
The constitution will only be changed through agreement through majority vote by committee. All amendments to the constitution should be submitted to the Secretary in writing.
10. Equity Policy statement
This club is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated across all aspects of its development. In doing so it acknowledges and adopts the following Sport England definition of sports equity:

culture and structure of sport to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society.
The club respects the rights, dignity and worth of every person and will treat everyone equally within the context of their sport, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status.
The club is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from threat of intimidation, harassment and abuse. All club members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity.
The club will deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour seriously, according to club disciplinary procedures.
