Alcester Diamonds secured a spectacular 45–38 victory against a resilient Lodge Park Violets side, powered by a masterclass in attacking movement and clinical shooting from Chloe E and Grace T.
Chloe H commanded the center third with immense work rate and her amazing leaps! Alongside her, Holly injected explosive speed into the game, using sharp, driving runs into the pocket to consistently slice through the Violets’ defensive press.
The defining factor of the match was the sheer quality and chemistry displayed by Chloe E and Grace T. The duo worked in perfect harmony.
While the attack flourished, it was backed by a gritty defensive display. Emily, Grace C, and Libby worked tirelessly in the defensive third to slow down the Violets’ transition. Their tight marking and physical presence forced critical baseline turnovers and deflections, giving the Diamonds extra possession. Fresh legs from the bench also played a massive role, with impact sub Freya entering the game seamlessly to maintain the team’s high intensity and shut down the opposition’s options.
