Ryland Rays 30 – 56 Alcester Queens 👑
The Queens were back in action and put on a dominant display, running a comfortable 56–30 win over Ryland Rays, after an excellent all-round team performance in a very hot sports hall 🥵☀️
Tia and Amy were unstoppable in the shooting circle, combining brilliantly with accurate shooting and great movement to keep the scoreboard ticking over from start to finish.
Through the middle, Lucy, Zoe, and Katie worked tirelessly, linking defence to attack with quick passing, clever movement, and plenty of patience to create opportunities in the circle. Izzy also stepped into Centre to demonstrate that the girl is back with a bang💥 and to show how versatile she is. With the temperature we faced in a hot stuffy sports hall, this was to Katie’s delight. 🥵
At the defensive end, Fran, Lucinda, Izzy, and Ximena made life incredibly difficult for Ryland. Their relentless pressure, well-timed interceptions, and constant communication forced errors and turned defence into attack time and time again.
A huge congratulations to Fran for being awarded Player of the Match—a thoroughly deserved recognition after an outstanding performance. Our very own Tigger was everywhere, making crucial turnovers and applying relentless pressure 💙
The best part of the game was the teamwork. Every player backed each other, celebrated every turnover, and never let the intensity drop. It was a complete squad performance with everyone playing their part in a well-earned win.
