Alcester Queens 35- 22 Hotshot Vespas
The shooters worked hard in the D to create space, get free and provide good shooting opportunities. There was good movement between Tia and Amy, helping to create options around the post.
The centre-court players worked hard to move the ball through the court and link the defence with the attack. There were some positive passages of play from Katie and Beth, with good movement, passing and support for teammates. Thankyou to Claire for switching between WA and WD throughout the match, making some great runs from the centre court to the shooting end, and hoping her ankle makes a quick recovery!
The defensive players put in a strong effort to put pressure on the opposition, contest passes and limit their shooting opportunities. Lucinda, Izzy and Fran maintained good positioning and marking, with their interceptions effortless as always.
Overall, the team showed good effort, teamwork and determination across the court. Each area played an important role in supporting the team’s performance, with everyone celebrating each turnover and shot.
