Queens 48 – 23
CBH too tough for Clubs
Clubs 44 – CBH 51
Well done everyone! It was a great game to watch and really fast paced right till the end. CBH started pulling away in the 3rd Q after a shuffle round of some very versatile players, something which Ellie and I would like for us to be able to do. Individually you all had an amazing game. They took the advantage of having subs and moving players around and it showed that we tired a little towards the end, not giving up though!
Well done to Jeanette for getting player, managing to retain her head on her shoulders!

Aces in nail biting match against Ryland Rockets
Final score Aces 48 -47!
Was literally down to the wire – really tough but good match and some seriously really great umpiring that made it a really well contested/battled game to play in!

No match reports from Teams Aces & Clubs but two wins for the first games of summer season!
That’s the first week of matches done for the summer season! Everyone playing their best netball and in the dark towards the end of the games! ❤️👌♣️👸

Queens first match of summer season see them fighting off Jaguars!
☀️ Queens 32-39 Jaguar 3 ☀️
Queens faced Jaguar 3 in our first match of the summer league this evening and WHAT a rollercoaster it was!
We sadly lost our fantastic Stace just before the match started due to an emergency so were down to 6 – I begged, borrowed and stole with the help of my good pal Lucinda, who helped to rope in Antonia to come and play for us extremely last minute – who EVER so kindly ditched her plans and arrived on court seconds before the match begun! 🙌🏼
The opposition was an extremely physical team with some not-very-clean play (shall we say?!), but Queens absolutely held their heads high and played their own game to the last second. 🥹
We even won the first quarter and played some of the last quarter with 6 when our fabulous new addition Donna suffered an ankle injury! 😢
Consistently strong play with moments of really slick movement and passing meant we played a close match and our connections on court are gleaming – even when many players were out of their first position, covered in other positions when we went down to 6, and got battered and bruised! 🤩
Player could have been awarded to anyone tonight – Frankie and Gemma were both shooting legends; Katie was a workhorse at C and got some great intercepts; Donna and Antonia (the hero of the night) worked the circle and the centre third brilliantly to win ball and bring it forwards, and Lucinda’s arms were everywhere, as always! But the well-deserved award went to Gemma, for tirelessly accurate shooting and wonderful movement. 🫶🏼
Well done Queens, I am immensely proud of this team tonight for pulling through and working together in a very tough evening, and that means more than taking a win. 🖤👑🥰

Summer season starts with Hearts losing by 1 goal
Hearts lost 44-45 to Blackbird Divas 🐦⬛
The first quarter started really strong and we gained a considerable lead. Movement through court was good, shooting was accurate and interceptions were flowing!
Tippy-pippy took a nasty fall and we were reduced to 6 while she was bandaged up by club-mum Elaine!
Divas capitalised and bought back the score but we were level pegging until the final whistle! It could have been anyone’s game in the last quarter but next time it’ll be ours!! ♥️ Well done Hearts for getting that extra point and in some really dim light towards the end aswell! Some tips from Sarah and ideas for training – the summer season still looks bright!
Well-deserved player went to Pippa for some great turnovers and reading of the game! Have a blurry but smiley one📷

Thats a wrap for Diamonds and Queens
The best winter league finale saw Diamonds and Queens win their last matches. ATNC have had an amazing season bring on the summer ☀️ and our summer party in June yay!!!
Diamonds last ever match finishes with a win!

Alcester Diamonds vs Redditch Pearls
Our final game!
Today we played Redditch Pearls for our last match as ‘Diamonds’! Prior to the game a collective bittersweet feeling was felt from the team. So many exciting things upcoming for us all – yet such a sad moment playing our last game.
Going into it, we all knew that we really wanted to finish with a win but previously only beating this team by 3 goals, we knew it was going to be a challenging game.
Q1 was a strong quarter from both teams with the scores being extremely close, but diamonds just edging the game, ahead by a couple of goals.
Q2 we saw some insane interceptions from defence, leading to many turnovers and great work through the court.
With Redditch becoming increasingly dominant and achieving some interceptions, Q3 saw us really working as a team to maintain our lead.
Our final quarter we aimed to play possession rather than strive for more and more goals. We also made use of the new rules and tactically used the rolling subs!
Overall an amazing performance from the entire team and a super fun game with the score finishing 37-30 to diamonds!
We finished our final game with lots and lots of cake, many photos (and even some tears from Alison!)
On behalf of Diamonds, I would like to say a HUUGGEEE thank you to Elaine, Alison & Sarah for all the hard work you’ve invested into the team to improve our play over the years, you’ve been the best! ❤️
