Way to start the season! 🌟
Despite some early goals, the first quarter saw us slip behind Jaguars as we found our feet and reigned in our movement down court. Jaguars siezed the opportunities and before we knew it, the scorecard read 7-13… But a few changes and tactical conversations at the changeover gave us renewed energy and determination to continue attacking in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
Slow and steady wins the race, and patience rotating around the D, stellar intercepts through mid court, and consistent pressure in defence helped to turn the tables. Little by little we clawed the scorecard back into our favour. The final quarter saw us settle into a groove even further, and up until the very last second we were 1 goal up on Jaguars! It was a very tight game, and enjoyed by all. (We’ll have them next time!)
Also a huge welcome back to the courts for Izzy!! Who, also happened to be awarded the Player of the Match! 🥇 absolutely amazing work girls. Bring on the rest of summer!!
